On behalf of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), we extend fraternal greetings and congratulations to the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the people of China on this 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Over the past 72 years the Chinese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, have achieved unparalleled accomplishments in a number of realms. Perhaps one of the most notable examples of these accomplishments is China’s poverty alleviation efforts, which have lifted hundreds of millions of people out of extreme poverty in recent decades, culminating in the successful completion of the project at the end of 2020. 

Likewise, China’s success in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the world what is possible when the people, not profits, are in command. We have seen how the guidance and leadership of the CPC has saved countless lives within China, Further, China’s continued export of its vaccines has shown its dedication not only to the well-being of its people domestically, but to the people of the whole world as well.

The CPUSA stands in solidarity with the CPC and the people of China, as well as all peoples of the world against US imperialism and aggression. Despite rising tensions between our countries, instigated and exacerbated by the US imperialist ruling class, the CPUSA remains dedicated to peaceful coexistence and a mutually prosperous future with the People’s Republic of China. We fight for these goals within the USA and are encouraged by our comrades in the CPC and all peace-loving people who share and work toward these goals internationally.

As the CPC leads the people of China into another year of socialist development, the CPUSA wishes our comrades in China success and flourishing in their endeavors. While struggles and difficulties may lie ahead, the CPUSA will not waver in its solidarity with the peoples of China and the world in our shared efforts to build socialism.
