The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) sends our greetings and congratulations to our fraternal comrades in the Communist Party of Israel (CPI) in honor of your 28th Party Congress.

The CPI and its allies are a beacon of light in a country whose politics are dominated by reactionaries, fundamentalists, and fascists. While the ruling classes seek to divide the working class and pit Palestinian and Jew against each other, the CPI works to bring the entire working class together to fight against the oppressive forces of capitalism and right-wing nationalism.

The new government in Israel, headed by Naftali Bennet is no less reactionary than that of its predecessor. This regime will continue the policies of apartheid and brutal military occupation. Hardly a day goes by without the news of more death and violence at the hands of the Israeli military in support of imperialism. The illegal settlements are constantly being expended, thereby showing the world that any talk from the Israeli government about a “two-state solution” is empty lip service to quite their critics. The human rights of the Palestinian people are constantly being violated by acts of sheer cruelty such as house’s being demolishing and arrests without charges and without trials.

Despite suffering abuse at the hands of the Israeli regime’s police and military, the CPI never wavers and never backs down in the fight against these forces of reaction. Any time there is a major protest and organizing against the apartheid regime, the members of the CPI are there. In fact, the site of CPI Knesset members covered in blood and wounds inflicted at the hands of the police and military, is not an uncommon site. We in the CPUSA stand in solidarity with the members and leaders of the CPI in this struggle.

The CPI and CPUSA both organize in the heart of two of the world’s great centers of reaction. Both our countries are ruled by imperialists and neoliberals who freely use violence alongside capitalist financial oppression to keep the working class down and divided. However, it is the role of our two fraternal Parties to organize the working class in resistance to the ruling classes. Both our Parties continue to follow the path of Marxism-Leninism as we work together to end imperialism and to defeated capitalism.

Long live Communist internationalism!
